Charlize Theron listened to Indian chanting when she shot her latest Dior campaign.
The Hollywood beauty, who is the face of Dior’s J’Adore fragrance, relied on relaxing music to cope with the fast pace of a recent photo shoot to celebrate the perfume’s 10th anniversary.
The campaign’s make-up artist Shane Paish said: “We listened to tons of different music to stay inspired, everything from Culture Club to Indian chanting. The mood was fun, fast-paced and creative.”
Paish also revealed that during the Los Angeles photo shoot Charlize experimented with several strong ideas which could feature in the new adverts.
He explained to People magazine: “There were so many looks. It was like working on a non-stop treadmill – shooting one look, then running back to the chair for different hair and make-up, changing looks and starting all over again. We started with a natural look and then worked up to a high-fashion look with dark lips to give it some variety.
“All the clothing was Dior – of course! No wonder they say ‘J’adore Dior!’ ”
The campaign is due to be launched next month.
