Charlize Theron to be honoured
Charlize Theron will be honoured with the Variety Indie Impact Awards for her independent movie work at an upcoming Palm Springs Film Festival in California.
The 36-year-old actress will receive the award at a star-studded gala event in January next year in recognition of her long-time support of independent film, the Daily Star reported.
Theron, who has appeared in low-budget flicks like ‘North Country’, ‘In the Valley of Elah’ and ‘The Burning Plain’, follows in the footsteps of previous honourees Philip Seymour Hoffman and Mark Wahlberg.
The Oscar-winning actress will be presented with the award on 8th January 2012.
