‘I love changing nappies!’ Charlize Theron opens up about the joys of motherhood

She may play a wicked stepmother in her latest movie Snow White & The Huntsman, but off-camera Charlize Theron is loving motherhood.
The actress – pictured here tonight in New York tonight in a daring sheer top – earlier gushed about how well she is settling into the role during an interview with The Today Show.
And far from loathing the onslaught of dirty nappies that have come since she became a mother, Charlize ‘loves’ changing them.

She said: ‘I love it! I’ve got to tell you, I’m available for other babies’ diapers to be changed. I can do it in my sleep now. I am so good.’
The star, 36, says she certainly got in a lot of practice when her newly adopted son Jackson came on a worldwide press tour with her.
She said: ‘I now know how to change a Japanese diaper, a Spanish diaper, an English diaper, a German diaper. I’m like the diaper pro now.’

Charlize, who is very close to her mother Gerda, says she hopes to pass on some of the lessons learnt from her mother to her son.

She explained: ‘The one thing I’m grateful beyond anything else is that she raised me to always encourage me to be my own person… and that teaches great independence and confidence.’
She added: ‘And I would hope to have my son feel the same way about himself. And kind of go and discover the world in his own skin.’

Charlize looked stunning for her interview on the talk show today and sported a slinky little black dress along with sky high black caged shoe boots.
She later changed into her a see-through top, teamed with a tuxedo jacket, blue trousers and strappy heels for an appearance on The Colbert Report in the Big Apple.
The South African actress brought her African-American baby home two months ago at just nine days old, but the adoption process took her two entire years.
As well as starring in Snow White & The Huntsman opposite Kristen Stewart, Charlize appears in the highly anticipated Prometheus alongside Michael Fassbender, which hits cinemas next week.
