Charlize Theron Designs Shoes with TOMS for Charity

Charlize Theron is putting in some serious footwork to help kids in her native South Africa. Today she debuts a new, limited-edition collaboration with do-gooding company TOMS Shoes. The result, slip-on sneakers made for men and women embellished with an image of an African baobab tree, will benefit the star’s non-profit, the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, dedicated to improving the health, education, and social development of high schoolers in South Africa. A woman paid 140 thousand U.S. dollars to kiss Charlize Theron at an auction

Usmagazine.com reported that the South African actress Charlize Theron kiss auctioned for 140 thousand dollars, to benefit a NGO for children. The winner was a woman whose bid exceeded that of all male competitors.
Charlize Theron also donated a trip to her home country and tickets for the 2010 World Cup but when the offers were at 37 thousand dollars, she included the kiss, saying that “considering the swine flu outbreak. It’s a dangerous kiss!”.
The winner of the prize directly asked for her kiss on stage.
The crowd controlled the time of the famous kiss whichreached 20 seconds, the actress, laughing, said “My boyfriend is not here tonight,” referring to his partner Stuart Townsend.

Charlize Theron Co-Designs Tees to Benefit South Africa

South African Oscar winner Charlize Theron has teamed up with designer Shea Mullen of Give and Take tees to create four limited-edition T-shirts that will benefit Charlize Theron’s Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP).
The vintage-inspired tees are $50 each, with $25 going directly to CTAOP, which aims to create a better life for young people in South Africa, especially those living in remote regions with a high chance of contracting HIV.
Charlize Theron’s Africa Outreach Project will put the money raised toward helping to provide sustainable health care, education and recreational outlets, including soccer fields, in these areas.
