Charlize Theron and Andrew Garfield are among the stars handing out gongs at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards.
The South African actress and the Amazing Spider-Man star will be presenters at the star-studded US ceremony, alongside their co-stars Emma Stone, Chris Hemsworth and Kristen Stewart.
Shame star Michael Fassbender, Friends With Benefits’ Mila Kunis and Contraband’s Mark Wahlberg will also be on presenting duties on June 3.
Russell Brand is to host the awards. “This MTV Movie Awards will be more impressive than The Avengers and you won’t have to wait an hour for someone to Hulk out,” he said.
The Hunger Games and Bridesmaids lead the battle for the gongs, with eight nominations each, including a best female performance nod for leading ladies Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Wiig.
Jonah Hill’s comedy 21 Jump Street and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part II both follow in second place with six nominations.
Harry Potter stars Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are among those nominated for Best Kiss, for Ron Weasley and Hermione’s long-awaited clinch in the final film, but they face competition from Jennifer and her Hunger Games co-star Josh Hutcherson, and last year’s winners, Twilight stars and real life item Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
Horrible Bosses co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Colin Farrell will go up against each other for Best On-Screen Dirtbag, along with Jon Hamm for his portrayal of Kristen’s arrogant lover in Bridesmaids.
The 21st Annual MTV Movie Awards will take place on June 3 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, before airing on June 4 on MTV.

Upon arrival at Friday night’s First Amendment party in Washington, actress Charlize Theron was whisked past the red carpet and down into the VIP lounge — so fast that the mob of media types barely had time to recognize her.

“I totally missed that. How did I miss that?” bemoaned ABC’s Rick Klein as he realized that the “Young Adult” star had just passed right by him.

In a roped-off VIP section, Theron mingled with actress Rosario Dawson, while political types Reggie Love and Abby Huntsman Livingston chatted up journos including Luke Russert, Willie Geist and John Heilemann.

And in the thick of it all, with the music blaring, Sports Illustrated model and famous political niece Kate Upton tore up a dance floor of her own making.

Also spotted at the bash: actor Woody Harrelson, Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys, Chace Crawford of “Gossip Girls,” Naseem Pedrad of “Saturday Night Live,” actor Richard Kind, “Modern Family”‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Joseph Mazzello of “The Social Network” and Matthew Morrison of “Glee.”

The actress got personal when she accepted the award for Distinguished Decade of Achievement in Film Thursday at the CinemaCon 2012 Awards Show at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

“To some people that [the reel] might look like I’m completely bipolar. To the actors in this audience that shows what a lucky bitch I am,” Theron, 36, joked of her wide ouevre of gritty dramas, comedies and action-adventure flicks. The Oscar-winner is a new mom and revealed on March 14 in a statement to Us Weekly that she adopted a baby boy named Jackson. “Thanks for giving me an opportunity in an industry that I love so much. And can just say if I knew that 3D was going to be such a big deal, I would have gotten that boob job 10 years ago.”

After the audience quieted down from Theron’s joke, she continued, “I want to thank every director, producer, actor, studio I have every had the opportunity to work with. You are only as great as the opportunities that are given to you. I want to thank everyone who has given me those opportunities, especially the last three years. I always get asked about the movie — going experience and why people still want to go to the theater and it really truly is an opportunity for us to go through a great human experience that is as old as time.”
“That’s why we are all here in Vegas together. I think we really learn from these stories,” the South African beauty added . “I mean, I learned everything about love, watching Splash,” she said of the 1984 romantic comedy inspired by The Little Mermaid. “That’s why I’m still single, so thanks Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah for that. Thanks so much to my team. None of this is a single road so you don’t travel it alone so I want to thank everybody who has been crazy enough to stand by me. And I’m going to get that boob job for you.”

Charlize Theron took a break from new mommy duties on Thursday night to catch up with her pregnant pal Reese Witherspoon.

The Academy Award-winning actresses took in some girl talk over dinner at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, where the two “genuinely [appeared] to have fun with one another,” an onlooker tells PEOPLE, adding that Theron sipped on wine, while expectant Witherspoon drank sparkling water.

Theron, who sported a white blazer and jeans with her hair pulled back, was all smiles, according to the source, who says Witherspoon was glowing in a casual short dress.

After greeting friends who approached the ladies’ table throughout their meal, Theron and Witherspoon called it a night around 10:20 p.m. and headed to pick up their cars from the valet.

Charlize Theron is auctioning off dresses from her closet to raise money for her charity fighting Aids in Africa.
The star has donated designer gowns she has previously worn for the Charity Buzz auction benefiting the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP), dailystar.co.uk reports.
Among the items up for grabs is a Versace little black dress the actress wore during an awards ceremony, as well as a purple Lanvin design she wore at France’s Cannes Film Festival in 2004.
Theron co-founded CTAOP in 2007 to help keep young Africans safe from HIV. The organisation has helped over 50,000 kids receive health education.
