Actor PIERCE BROSNAN is calling on producers of THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR sequel to cast CHARLIZE THERON as his leading lady – instead of ANGELINA JOLIE.
The former James Bond star is due to begin shooting the new movie next year (09) – but he’s still yet to discover who he will be starring opposite.
And, despite summer (08) reports linking Jolie to the role, Brosnan admits he would prefer to have Monster actress Theron as his co-star.
He tells People.com, “Charlize Theron is someone who I’ve always admired. I think she’s someone who has acquitted herself grandly.

Nicole Kidman To Play Transsexual, Marry Charlize Theron, For ‘Danish Girl’

Nicole Kidman’s latest film is one that promises to be a lightning rod, particularly in the current political climate. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she is set to star in “The Danish Girl” as the world’s first post-op transsexual — and be married to Charlize Theron to boot. (I think that might be the prettiest couple since Brangelina, don’t you?) Kidman will also be one of the film’s producers, under her Blossom Films shingle.
“The Danish Girl” is the true story of artists Einar and Greta Wegener. Their marriage took a surprising turn when Einar substituted for a female model that Greta was set to paint. Einar felt surprisingly comfortable in costume, and began dressing in …

Theron Settles Lawsuit With Watchmaker

Charlize Theron has settled a $20 million lawsuit with the luxury watchmaker that accused her of breach of contract.
Bosses at Swiss company Raymond Weil claimed they paid Theron the sum to wear its watches exclusively between October 2005 and December 2006.
According to court documents, Theron broke their agreement when she “was actually photographed wearing a watch from the Christian Dior line” at a press event in Austin on March 14.
The following month, Theron modeled a Montblanc watch on a billboard at a Swiss trade show.
Company executives added the violations “demonstrate a total disregard by (Theron) for any of her obligations under the agreement.”
The settlement follows her lawyers’ failed attempts to have the case dismissed.
New court …

Taking a hands on approach to the red carpet duties he was sharing with co-star Charlize Theron, the actor ensured there were laughs aplenty at the Leicester Square screening on Wednesday.
