The ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ star – who split from boyfriend Stuart Townsend in January 2010 after almost nine years of dating – claims until now she has been in relationships for almost 20 years but has never casually dated.
She explained: “I don’t think I’ve actually been on a date with somebody I didn’t know. I’ve been on dates with my boyfriend of course but I’ve never really dated.
“I’ve been in serious relationships from the time I was 19 and I’m single for the first time in my life since then. I had to make a real conscious effort to rediscover myself and it’s hard. I’m a creature who has really found her comfort …

Charlize Theron has said she is nothing like the dark and serious roles she plays.
The South African actress, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of serial killer Aileen Wuornos in Monster, will soon be seen on screen as the Evil Queen in Snow White And The Huntsman.
“I think a lot of people have an assumption that because my work is sometimes very dark and heavy, that is who I am, but that is so not me,” she told the Daily Mirror.
“The first thing directors always tell me is, ‘Wow, I had no idea that you were actually not dark and heavy and that you have a sense of humour’, which I always find so …
Charlize Theron plays a Kardashian-watching, Maker’s Mark-swilling, self-loathing 30-something in “Young Adult,” out today and already the subject of much praise and talk of golden statues.
In real life, though, she finds reality TV horrifying. In an interview with ABC News Now’s “Popcorn with Peter Travers,” Theron talked about preparing to play an unhappy couch potato, which involved many DVDs of MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16.”
“It was the most horrifying show I had ever seen in my entire life,” she said. “I seriously want people to watch that as birth control. I don’t want to have a child when I watch that show. There’s some 16-year-old girl crying, having a small stroke, because she got the …
At age 36, Charlize Theron says she’s too young for a lifetime achievement award but is ready for a “celebration so far” award, which is exactly what she received Monday night at the Gotham Independent Film Awards. The Academy Award-winning actress was one of four “Tribute” winners – along with Gary Oldman, David Cronenberg and Tom Rothman. They each received special recognition by the academy for their work in both big and small budget films.
“I am not an extraordinary human being,” Theron said backstage after the win. “It’s luck and the people around me.” Theron is currently surrounding herself with director David Fincher as they adapt “Mind Hunter” for the small screen. Although she’s slated …
At 36, Charlize Theron is just now finding out what it feels like to fly solo as an adult. The Oscar-winning actress tells the December issue of Vogue that she’s been romantically attached for the past 17 years.
“I’ve never been single,” she tells the magazine. “This is the first time in my life. From the time I was 19, I’ve been in relationships, literally gone from one to the other within a month.”
Being single has been good to her though, she says, as she’s been able to “rediscover” herself.
“I had to make a real conscious effort to do it—it’s hard. It’s much easier to lose yourself in flowers and cigarettes and coffee with somebody else,” …
Charlize Theron may be Kristen Stewart’s archnemesis in the forthcoming “Snow White and the Huntsman,” but in real life, her feelings about the “Breaking Dawn” star are far more warm and fuzzy.
“She just turned 21,” said Theron, who plays the Evil Queen in the film, about her young co-star in a Vogue interview. “She’s a child.
“When I think about myself at 21,” the actress said, recalling her own early days in Hollywood, “I had just done ‘The Devil’s Advocate,’ and [co-star] Keanu [Reeves] had paparazzi following him, and Al Pacino said this thing to me: ‘If I knew that my life would be under this kind of scrutiny, I would have never become an actor.’ …
A new season of Top Chef premiered on Wednesday night on Bravo, this time based in Texas.
The show has 29 contestants competing to make the final cut, and there’s three big cities in the state to work with.
This season, host Padma Lakshmi and judge Tom Colicchio are dishing which celebrities will be seating at the judges table this season.
“I think everybody who comes on the show – especially if they’re not in the food business – has a certain level of interest in food,” Lakshmi told People. “These are cities you have to fly to, and you have to take a day or two out of your schedule.”

MOVIE beauty Charlize Theron has thanked Ghostbusters star Sigourney Weaver for kicking open doors for action girls everywhere.
Monster star Charlize says she would never have gotten the opportunity to front big budget movies like her upcoming Alien prequel Prometheus had it not been for Sigourney.
“For any girl that ever saw Alien it was like, ‘Yeah, it’s time to dance!’ I do think that (director) Ridley Scott really was the first person who took full advantage of how you could explore not only that genre but themes that I think mostly men in cinema had been allowed to explore,” she said.
“And then Sigourney blazed a trail for all of us in those movies. She was a …
