Charlize Theron | J'adore

On August 23, 2004, Dior announced Charlize Theron as the new face of their perfume called J'adore. The first print ads showed up in magazines in October (see the October 2004 issue of Vogue magazine), showing Charlize looking very sensual in the gold progade, holding a bottle of J'Adore.

The J'Adore film commercial, directed by John Galliano, showed up online a couple of weeks later and has since been seen on television across the globe.

Apparently Charlize was a fan of the perfume before the collaboration and it is rumored that she even wore J'Adore the night she won her first Oscar.

John Galliano looks on her as the heiress to the stars of the cinema in the 1950's and she likewise admires him in the genious of fashion and refinements.

"I was impressed by Charlize Theron, by her acting in films like Monster. I adored the way she acted, her creative process. A bit like the way I work here. I am not an actor, but...Maybe just a little! She really puts her whole self into her acting, particularly in Monster." - John Galliano (in an online interview)
